OPEN TRACK CHALLENGE 2004

Its that time of the year again. Time to start thrashing to get The Rusty Old Datsun ready for another whirlwind tour of western race tracks. In 2003 Bryan and I won our class, Unlimited 3, and placed in the top 10 overall. Our competitors in U3 were a little bitter about having their newfangled Honda S2000 beat by a 35 year old, rusty, two valve, all strut, DOT street tired Datsun. Aaron Bitterman seemed a bit grumpy about the whole thing.

Or maybe it was just food...

For once I'm going to try and keep a log of the event. Many of the of other folks who compete in OTC spend an inordinate amount of time posting their racing successes and failures on-line (read: Doug Hayashi). I guess its the geeky thing to do. So, in the spirit of Pulp Racing, here's the Rusty Old Datsun OTC 2004 blog:

I don't have any kind of fancy wireless modem thingy so the daily updates may be sporadic or non-existent.
